Our oenologists' opinion

Powerful bouquet

Bright and luminous golden colour, fine, regular, persistent bubbles, nice bouquet of dried fruits, notes of hay, toast, gingerbread, good balance on a rather vinous, full-bodied, frank champagne, a character already evolved on the bouquet, toasted, roasted notes, hint of mocha, a little dosed, straight with a good nervousness. For an aperitif but will also stand well with a meal without any problem.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • MAISON LANSON

Founded in 1760, Lanson is one of the oldest Champagne Houses.

Drawing on a family heritage and unique know-how, it is the love of a job well done and the care for others that has guided the men and women of the House for 260 years.

The unique and authentic style of our Champagnes is based on 4 immutable pillars: a meticulous selection of the Crus; a vinification according to the original principle of Champagne; a rare collection of reserve wines; and prolonged maturation in the Cellars.

Hervé Dantan, the House's Cellar Master, carefully crafts elegant wines characterised by an inimitable freshness, fruitiness, and vitality.

Lanson Champagnes are to be enjoyed, offered, and shared in the company of those who are dear to us.

The Lanson Cross on each bottle is the unalterable symbol of this.
