The name "Pils" or "Plisner" comes from the town of Pilsen (Czech Republic), where this style of beer was born in 1842.

Brewery and region

  • Pilsener is drunk cooler than top-fermented beer, but not iced, usually between 10 and 12 degrees, to bring out the flavours. Beer is one of the oldest products of civilisation. Historians believe that the Mesopotamians and Sumerians made beer 10,000 years before Christ.
