Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

Garnet-red colour with black tints. Open, fruity nose of sour cherries, ripe strawberries, blueberry coulis followed by Agen prunes and a hint of cocoa. The wine is well-balanced, straightforward and delicious, with lovely fruit and a hint of underlying spices such as thyme and rosemary. Round and full-bodied, with fairly dense, ripe tannins and a long finish of chocolate.

Features

    The Banyuls vineyard is located in the extreme south of France at the meeting point of the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. The vines are planted in terraces on schist slopes, from the seaside to the bottom of the valleys in the hinterland.
