This characteristic explains its nice and fresh nose of fennel, fresh pear and vanilla. It also explains its good balance and its length, powerful and full-bodied, highlighting a mineral side and a touch of fresh anise. Keeping level Ready to drink Features Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine. Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure. Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time. Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only. Do you know ? Since 1993, the malt is traceable to its field at Auchentoshan. Domain and appellation Auchentoshan Founded in 1823, this is one of the last distillery of the Lowlands still operating. Nowadays the distillery belongs to the Suntory group. The Auchentoshan distillery is located in the Lowlands at Dalmuir in the Dunbartonshire in Scotland. Auchentoshan is the only Scottish single malt that has been triple distilled. Another remarkable fact, during its manufacture, the alcohol can reach 82, 5°, ten degrees more than the whiskeys of the other Scottish distilleries. Real pride of the English industry, the distillery has obtained the Queen's award many times.
